15-th anniversary of the European Union

On the 1st of November 1993 a treaty on European Union which was signed in Maastricht on the 7th of February 1992, came into force. The treaty clearly defines the goal of member countries, i.e. to be economic society and facilitate political cooperation as well as establish the European Union, which would intake all other spheres of activities.

Most evident changes for people living in the EU concerned foundation of economic and monetary union, alongside with introduction of new currency, Euro. Introduction of Euro was a significant political step forward, Euro currency is one of most remarcable symbols of the European Union. On the moment, the European Union includes 27 countries.
