Global Green Business 2009

The Republic of Korea, Seoul, from the 19th to the 24th of October hosted Global Green Business 2009 forum, a wide known international event.

The Republic of Korea, Seoul, from the 19th to the 24th of October hosted Global Green Business 2009, a wide known international event. The event was partly held at different municipal infrastructure objects, private companies and research institutes of Korea. The Forum was visited by different representatives of state and business societies of the Republic of Korea and North-East Asia, leading international specialists in the spheres of green technologies and investments, investment companies and other interested parties from all parts of the world.

Ukraine was represented by Andrey Sukhoriabov - Ukraine Partnership Bureau (Kyiv) and Grygoriy Mazur - MNC Group (Kharkiv).

The business part of the gathering consisted of several blocks of issues devoted to Korean-Ukrainian cooperation, innovative technologies, partnership in the environment protection, energy efficiency and construction segments and general potential of Ukraine. During the Forum, the Ukraine Partnership Bureau has made presentations on several projects in the field of environment protection, cooperation in climate change reduction, spheres of energy and construction, along with the possibility of the joint development and investment into above mentioned spheres. Therefore, one of most vivid discussions arose after the speech of the Environment Protection Minister of the Republic of Korea - Maanee Lee, devoted to the experience of Korea and global tendencies of green technologies in all the spheres of Korean business, from building to external policy.

The main goal of Ukraine Partnership Bureau was to show the potential of Ukraine in general and pave the way to establishment of contacts between North-Eastern and Ukrainian businessmen. The core achievement of the Forum, on our opinion, was reaching the agreement on new program foundation for development of Korean-Ukrainian relationships with the accent put on the filed of innovations.
